To the beach!

A little trip to the Oregon Coast :) Seaside, OR- one of my favorite places to visit...Thanks to the Gerber's we got a chance to stay at a beautiful place right on the ocean with a great pool and close to town. The weather was actually pretty nice, a little chilly and windy, but hey...it's the beach in OR, in April, what do you expect? We spent plenty of time on the beach, the pool, and the arcade :) I think Carsyn and Kayli rode the roller coaster video game ride about 20 times! There was a tractor on the beach the whole time we were there, so McCoy was in heaven :) We fed the seals at the aquarium, and got our family photo a the "old time" photo studio, something I have always wanted to do :) Happy early Mother's day to me! It was a great trip.

Brian James

Introducing our perfect beautiful nephew and cousin, Brian James :) He joined us April, 17th @ 9:47pm, weighing 9.6oz and 21 inches long. We are SO happy is here and healthy! Congrats Matt & Jackie.

Snoqualmie Falls

Last Saturday we headed to the lake for the night, we hadn't been as a family since December! It was a beautiful day, so we decide to stop at the Falls on the way. All our trips over the mountains and we have never stopped, it was well worth it :)

It was such a nice day, so we decide to take a walk to the river once we arrived at the lake. McCoy walked the whole way! Well, he did need a lift a few times, but he did great. Carsyn was equipped with her purple sequence purse and sunglasses to match! I think those kids could throw rocks in that river all day long :)

See ya later HIGHCHAIR!

I have been dreaming of the day that we no longer have to have the highchair in my kitchen. Don't get me wrong, it has been a great chair (thanks TuTu & Papa G) but it is time for it to find a new kitchen. I'm just done with picking old nasty food out of the cracks of the seat, and washing that tray 40 times a day. McCoy would much rather saunter around the house while he eats (not a good habit) or sit up at the big table with his sister. The last of the many pictures we have of the kids in this chair....McCoy and his yogurt!

Locker room talk...

Carsyn and McCoy have been going to swimming lessons on Tues & Thurs mornings- Carsyn is getting really good, jumping off the side, going all the way under the water, and floating on her back :) I think she might actually pass this time and move up, yay! 4th time is a charm. She has come a long way, baby! McCoy and I are having fun in his class too! He is loving the water and loves to jump off the side! After their classes we have 15 minutes that we all get to swim together, it's pretty fun! Really, the best part is the locker room after swimming.......McCoy is screaming because he doesn't want to get out of the water, Carsyn turns into a 2 year old that can doing nothing for herself, no one will listen to me, we are all wet and cold....you get the picture. I look around and all the other moms are calmly drying off and dressing their quiet kids, I don't get it? Anyhooo......We round the corner of the locker room on Thursday to an older heavier naked lady bending over searching through her bag ( I hope she was searching for her undies) and Carsyn in her loudest Carsyn voice says "Mama, look at that big butt!" then wanted to know why everyone has "such long boobies?"

I wish I had some pictures to share (not of the old ladies with long boobies and big butts) but of the kids swimming. Daddy came one day with the video camera, but of course the battery was dead on the regular camera.

Our Buddy is 18 months!

Hard to believe McCoy has only been in our family for 18 months :) Seems like he has always been here, can't remember what life was like before him. We had our 18 month Dr appt the other day, lets just say the Dr ranks right up there with Santa & haircuts. Screamed the entire appt, but Dr says he looks great. He weighed in at a whopping 25.6 (50th%) and is 33.5 inches tall (75th%) quite a bit smaller than his sister at this age. He loves to wrestle, play with his cars, dance, and play picnic and camping with big sis. We have had a few 'fights', but for the most part him & Carsyn get along great. He is so so sweet, loves to give big wet slobbery kisses and hugs! He still doesn't say too much (Im not complaining, right now Carsyn's mouth is quite enough), but everyday his vocabulary is growing and getting more clear. Here are a few recent pics of our 1 1/2 year old :)

A chilly trip to the Zoo :)

Chilly & foggy, but fun! It was great to let the kids run wild, and we did see a few animals too :) McCoy had fun trying to keep up with Carsyn and her friends, and of course loved driving the tractor!

Mr. Man got his DO done!

It was time. I have been going back & forth, let it grow, cut it, let is grow.....after being called a girl, the cut won. Big Boy was happy to sit in the car, wear the cape, and play with the toys, but as soon as she started squirting him down with the spray bottle, it was all over. I think getting a haircut ranks right up there with visiting Santa.

First snow at the lake!!

We got about a foot of snow at the lake! Yay, the perfect amount for us to play. Friday night Carsyn informed us we had to go to the store to get a carrot for the snowman's nose, so saturday morning we went to the store and C picked out the perfect carrot for the nose of the snowman we had yet to build :) While McCoy slept we built the perfect snowman, had a snowball fight, and went sledding. Such a fun day. It is so nice that Carsyn is big enough now to really enjoy the snow, she can actually move in her snow gear, instead of the just sitting in the snow crying......of course we have McCoy for that now! Sunday we took the kids on a little snowmobile ride, McCoy LOVED it!! He couldn't get enough, and loved being towed on the sled. When we took him inside he cried and cried at the door to go back out! Lots of fun!

Happy Fall

McCoy running from the blower...

As much as I love love summer, I really do enjoy the fall, as long as it doesn't rain! Wishful thinking :) We got a chance to head to the lake the other weekend, it is really beautiful this time of year. We got a break in the rain, so we took the kids on a golf cart ride to the river. They both had a great time driving the cart and loved throwing rocks in the river.

At home last weekend it was time for the raking of the leaves! Always a good time :)
