After a great 4th of July weekend at the lake with friends, we set out for our family camping trip! Nothing better than no phone, computer or TV for a week. First stop Pearrygin Lake, just a few miles from Winthrop, WA. This was our 3rd year at Pearrygin, but our first time getting a camp spot right on the water :) It was fun having our own little beach access. We rode bikes, played Tball, went to the beach, walked to the little store to spend money, had campfires with smores, took a trip into town to get ice cream, went fishing, and even rented a boat! So fun. Carsyn has caught many fish in her short 4 1/2 years, but this trip she caught her first fish from a boat!!! It was pretty cool :) After 4 nights at Pearrygin we packed up and headed to Bridgeport, WA. We were taking a gamble as this was a smaller park that did not take reservations, yikes. Luckily, as we were pulling in looking for a spot someone was packing up and getting ready to pull out. Yay! For the next 3 days this was our home. All the sites bordered a huge field that was perfect for Tball, soccer, and some rousing games of marco polo! The swimming area was great, very shallow and lots of rocks for Bud to throw, and fish & bugs for Carsyn to catch in her new net! One of the greatest things about our new spot was, it was just 40 short minutes to the Chelan water slides!!! What fun! They had a perfect kiddie pool and slides for the kids and some really fun ones for mom and dad too :) Definitely going back. Once again, it was a great family vacation, can't wait until next year.....
